Maria Fadrowski, flute

Maria Fadrowski earned her M.M. degree from the Music Academy in Gdansk, Poland, where she studied under Elzbieta Czapor. She received Suzuki training from Rebecca Paluzzi, David Gerry and Pandora Bryce. She is a flute instructor of both the Suzuki and traditional methods. Maria has been a faculty member of the Suzuki School of Elgin and Suzuki Music School of Barrington since 1992. She also teaches at public schools, maintains a private studio, and has taught at the Judson University, as well as at the Music Institute of Chicago. Her instruction and guidance to students in preparation for the IMEA, Chicago Flute Club, and the Society of American Musicians Flute Competitions has resulted in numerous competition winners.

Maria introduced the Suzuki method for flute instruction in Poland.  She performed with the Slupsk Symphony, as well as with various chamber ensembles including Ad Libitum and the Barrington Trio. She has served as an Assistant Student Competition Chair for the Chicago Flute Club.
