Suzuki Plus is the parent organization at the Suzuki School of Elgin. All parents are free to participate by attending meetings and volunteering.

Suzuki Plus was started by a group of parents who recognized the need for a support group to provide enrichment beyond music lessons offered by the Suzuki School of Elgin (SSE). While SSE provides music training in terms of weekly private and group lessons, Suzuki Plus offers enrichment beyond lessons.

Volunteers organize and run the annual Spring Concert and sponsor regular fundraisers in order to fund different supplemental activities in the studio, like the library and scholarship program.

Funds are also used to bring in guest clinicians to work with the students and provide them with new, inspiring musical experiences. Members of Suzuki Plus also maintain the website and post monthly newsletter updates.
